Safety first for Parts Center
Parts Center is saying no to cowboy HVAC installers by backing a gas safety initiative, developed in partnership with CORGI.
200 Parts Center branches across the UK are now limiting the sale of safety critical gas parts to CORGI members, as part of a move to raise safety standards across the industry.
This is the first time a major distributor has teamed up with CORGI to restrict the sale of specified industry parts in order to promote safety. Installers now visiting Parts Center branches will have to bring along their CORGI ID card if they intend to buy safety critical gas parts.
It is hoped other merchants will follow suit by adopting a similar policy, demonstrating a commitment to supporting legitimate gas installers and helping to make a difference to safety standards.
