Topping Out For Wolseley at Ripon
Wolseley UK has reached a significant landmark in the redevelopment of its Ripon site.

A ‘topping out' ceremony marked the completion of external construction of the 25,500 sq ft three storey extension by main contractors the Brennan Group. The new building is steel framed with concrete flooring and has external facades of curtain walling and cladding. This has more than doubled the existing office area to a total of 46,599 sq ft. At the same time the existing offices have been completely refurbished.

The redevelopment of the Wolseley UK site has used

- 135 tonnes of steel
- 870 sq m of glass cladding
- 770 cubic metres of concrete

The revamped Wolseley site has employed more than 400 people working in information technology, finance, payroll, benefits, fleet management, training, health and safety, call centres and property management. Wolseley has remained Ripon's largest private sector employer.
