Luxury Hotelier Selects Wolseley UK
Wolseley UK has secured a contract worth £325,000 with Norwest Holst for a new City Inn hotel in Manchester. The 285-bedroom hotel will be a high-quality, stylish building located next to Piccadilly train station in central Manchester.
Wolseley UK worked with City Inn to specify and select the most suitable materials to provide a high-end, luxury bathroom within a reasonable budget. The bathroom units, including power showers and sanitaryware, were constructed by a bathroom pod manufacturer to ensure consistency in the product finish.
Wolseley UK will provide the bathroom materials to the pod manufacturer over a phased, four-month delivery period. This approach ensures the bathroom fixtures are only supplied to site when required.
City Inn is an award winning independent group of hotels with properties in London, Westminster, Bristol, Glasgow and Birmingham. Renowned for their stylish and contemporary interiors, the Manchester property will be no exception with the fit out programme continuing through 2006 with the new hotel ready to open in early 2007.
Matt Nichols, business development director, Wolseley UK, said: “The project shows how Wolseley UK has grown into a multi-dimensional business - one which works in partnership with its customers to add value and create one-off products and solutions.
“The Wolseley UK team is trained on the properties of all key product ranges so that we can advise clients on the right materials for the job. Working with Wolseley UK directly enables contractors and developers to get products at the most competitive rates through our global purchasing channels.”
