Wolseley has once again topped its industry league in Management Today’s Britain’s Most Admired survey.

In the annual MT survey, conducted in conjunction with Nottingham Business School, the top ten public companies in each sector are asked to rate their peers against a range of criteria. This, according to MT, reveals the level of respect in which each contender is held by its main market competitors.

In the Building Material & Merchants sector, the top five companies in the 2006 survey were Wolseley, Marshalls, Pilkington, SIG and BSS.

Wolseley was also recognised as number 27 in the most admired league table out of 239 companies surveyed by the magazine.
