Wolseley UK has gained two prestigious awards from Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA).

Wolseley was awarded the Gold Award for Occupational Health & Safety. This award is recognised across British industry, and attracts entries from many blue-chip companies.

Wolseley was also awarded the Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Silver Award for Managing Occupational Road Risk (MORR).

Although the company’s pioneering fleet safety programme had been recognised previously by other organisations, this award endorsed the measures Wolseley has implemented to help control the risks of employees driving on company business. 

Dave Rawlins, RoSPA awards manager said: “Wolseley UK has demonstrated how seriously it takes health and safety management, and is a fine example to many other companies.  We would like to see more organisations following its lead.”

Paul Gallemore, Wolseley UK’s head of health, safety and environment said: “The occupational health award was a most pleasant surprise, since we entered for the silver award category and, on the basis and quality of our entry, have been awarded gold.  It is a tribute to everyone in the company who supports our business objectives by making safety in the workplace their personal priority.”
