Flue gas analyser -be ready for winter

As an installer it’s essential that your flue gas analyser has a valid certificate of calibration to maintain safety standards and avoid potentially dangerous situations.

BS EN: 50379 for flue gas analysers defines that the equipment should be professionally calibrated, and those which are outside their calibration date must not be used.

Your customers should have their boiler serviced before the Winter really sets in and to reduce the risk of boiler breakdown, it is advised that they turn their central heating on for around 10 minutes each Summer month. Yet despite this awareness this often results in a huge increase in your workload.

So in order to stay ahead of the game we recommend having your analyser serviced in the Summer, ahead of the busy Autumn/Winter months.

Testo Ltd’s service plan offers simplified and cost-effective pricing and covers:

» Functional analyser check

» Calibration of measuring sensors

» Calibration of flue temperature

» Calibration of pressure sensor

» Calibration certificate

» 24h express service and accidental cover available on request

Testo Flue Gas Analyser

And the good news is for a limited time only, Wolseley are offering Free collection/return carriage on all Testo flue gas analysers. This offer is only available from 1st July until 31st August 2020.

OFTEC registration – support for you now and in the future

OFTEC’s registration service will be familiar to many heating engineers, particularly if you work in rural areas where oil heating is popular. With the government target of net zero emissions by 2050 and the development of renewable heating, are you ready?

The industry will need to adapt significantly to meet these new demands. The deployment of renewable technologies such as heat pumps requires different skills and installation approaches to work well, particularly in retrofit situations.

By joining OFTEC’s registration scheme you’ll be able to benefit from high quality training, technical advice and support so you can quickly adapt to new industry changes. By becoming one of their registered heating professionals you also benefit from insurance, workmanship warranty, marketing aids and trade events. All to help you deliver the best service and work to your customers.
