This Drayton automatic bypass valve maintains a minimum flow rate in heating systems fitted with thermostatic radiator valves. When all TRVs are open, the bypass valve remains closed, allowing full boiler output to circulate, however when the TRVs sense that a selected room temperature is reached and start to close, the bypass valve opens, maintaining optimum flow and reducing the risk of damage to the boiler and pump. The valve can also minimise the noise created when flow decreases.
