Helping to improve system efficiency and performance, the Eclipse Boilermag XT 6" magnetic filter reduces the build-up of black iron oxide sludge that happens naturally in heating and cooling systems. This sludge can cause premature valve and pump failure, damage a boiler and, in some cases, contribute to a system breakdown. This clever filter works by attracting iron oxide to its magnetic rods as water circulates around it. The filter then simply removes even the smallest particles, right down to the sub-micron.
