Product Description

TracPipe® and TracPipeCC®, which are manufactured in the UK, are pliable corrugated stainless steel gas pipes used as an alternative to rigid pipes, such as copper or steel. TracPipe® and TracPipeCC® are not annealed (heat treated) during the manufacturing process and are highly resistant to damage or crushing, making them ideal for site work and industrial/commercial applications. Both products can be used internally and externally and also directly buried in the ground or screed without additional corrosion or mechanical protection. OmegaFlex® value quality and safety as a priority which means our product is up to 4 times stronger than equivalent product in the market place. The polyethylene cover of TracPipe® and TracPipeCC® contains flame spread and smoke density inhibitors and has a Euroclass classification of B – s1, d0 and as such will not contribute to a fire; a significant safety consideration in the current climate. TracPipe® and TracPipeCC® also has a 2 hour fire rating in continuous length (no joints) and can be installed in fire protected areas such as protected shafts, escape corridors and lobbies. TracPipeCC® (Complete Containment) is the original TracPipe® product with an additional robust outer cover that has ridges on its internal surface between the “primary” (inner) and “secondary” (outer) cover. Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, the ridges on the internal surface form strong interstices to allow free movement of air between the primary and secondary covers. This makes TracPipeCC® ideally suited to run through unventilated voids and risers, both horizontal and vertical. By using TracPipeCC®, there is no need to use an additional secondary containment duct when passing through an unventilated voids. The additional outer cover of TracPipeCC® also allows for greater protection for buried applications, particularly in harsher environments. TracPipeCC® has been independently witness tested with BSRIA and Warrington Fire.
